Since announcing the $1000 flood assistance for those living in affected areas, FNPF offices have been inundated with members trying to access this assistance.

Fiji 's opposition National Federation Party has called on the government to declare a state of natural disaster after Cyclone Josie. The category 1 storm brought torrential rain and flooded large parts of the western division, causing the death of four people. One person is still missing after being washed away by flood waters.
