Heavy rain has been falling in the Whitsundays area, with drivers battling flooded roads on Tuesday morning. Iris wasn't predicted to make landfall but its impact will still be felt across areas already saturated from rain delivered on its first sweep along the Queensland coast, and then from Cyclone Nora.
