The situation A 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Sarpol-e Zahab, Kermanshah, at 20:07 (local time) on Sunday, November 25. The epicentre of the earthquake was registered at 34.38 degrees latitude and 45.7 degrees longitude, at a depth of 6.2 miles, 10 km. The earthquake was felt in western provinces of Ilam and Kurdistan provinces.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 M at a depth of 10 km occurred in western Iran , close to the border with Iraq, on 25 November at 16.37 UTC. The epicentre was located 20 km south-west of Sarpol Zahab town (Kermanshah Province), 120 km west of Kermanshah city and 155 km north-east of Baghdad area (Iraq).
