  • A new Tropical Cyclone named LILI formed over the Timor Sea (Indian Ocean) on 9 May and started moving south. On 10 May at 0.00 UTC, its center was located approximately 200 km south-east of Letti Islands (southwestern Maluku Regency, eastern Indonesia) with maximum sustained winds of 74 km/h (Tropical Storm).
  • Over the next 48 hours, it is forecast to move west over the Timor Sea, slightly weakening. It could pass south of Timor-Leste on 11 March with maximum sustained winds up to 56 km/h.
  • According to the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB), as of 9 May, people have been displaced across the Letti Islands.
  • Over the next 24 hours, heavy rain with thunderstorms and strong winds are forecast over Letti Islands and Timor-Leste.
