Southern Iran and UAE, January 2020Heavy rain from 09 January 2020 caused flooding in southern parts of Iran and northern areas of United Arab Emirates. Fatalities were reported in both countries. Dozens were rescued and over 120 families evacuated in UAE. Media in Iran reported that hundreds of villages were left isolated in Sistan and Baluchestan, Hormozgan and Kerman provinces.
