  • Southern Malay Peninsula continues to be affected by heavy rainfall and widespread floods, resulting in evacuations and damage. The most affected Staes are Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Selangor.
  • According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), as of 5 March at 22.00 UTC, almost 53,000 people have been displaced and sheltered in 303 evacuation centres.
  • For the next 24 hours, moderate rain with isolated thunderstorms is forecast over parts of southern peninsular Malaysia.
Peninsular Malaysia, Late February to Early March 2023Floods prompted evacuations in the state of Johor from late 28 February 2023.
