Quase um ano e meio volvido, desde o tsunami que causou o desastre nuclear de Fukushima, os japoneses puderam voltar a mergulhar nas águas da prefeitura. A praia de Nakoso foi aberta ao público, a única da prefeitura onde não se regista o risco de contaminação pela radioactividade.
