  • An earthquake of 6.1 M at a depth of 54 km occurred offshore in south Philippines on 26 March at 15:38 UTC (23:38 local time). The epicentre was located in the Celebes Sea, just off the south coast of Sarangani Province and approximately 14 km south of Glan Town (Sarangani Province).
  • USGS PAGER estimates that up to 170,000 people were exposed to strong shaking.
  • There are no reports of casualties or damage, and no tsunami warning was issued. Media report, that as of 27 March, the earthquake was felt in General Santos City, in Koronadal City, and across South Cotabato and Misamis Oriental Provinces.
