Typhoon Goni, Philippines, November 2020Typhoon Gomi made landfall in the Philippines on 01 November with maximum sustained winds of 225km/h. Heavy rain and storm surge caused flooding, with areas of Albay in Bicol Region among the worst affected. As of 02 November, Philippines News Agency reported 17 fatalities in Bicol. Almost 500,000 people had been pre-emptively evacuated in several regions including CAR, NCR, Calabarzon, Bicol and Mimaropa.
