  • Tropical Cyclone WUTIP continues moving north-northwest over the North Pacific Ocean. On 26 February at 0.00, its centre was located approximately 600 km west of Tinian island (‎Northern Mariana Islands), with maximum sustained winds of 222 km/h.
  • Over the next 48 hours, it is forecast to continue moving north-west over the sea, weakening.

  • Tropical Cyclone WUTIP is strengthening, as it moves over the North Pacific Ocean. On 25 February at 0.00, its center was located 450 km west of Guam Island, with maximum sustained winds up to 213 km/h.
  • Over the next 48 hours, it is forecast to continue moving north-west over the sea, slightly weakening.
  • As of 25 February, media reported 450 people sheltered in evacuation centers in Guam and another 83 people in the Northern Mariana Islands during the past weekend. No injuries or major structural damage have been reported across the islands.

  • Tropical Cyclone WUTIP is strengthening, as it moves northwest over the North Pacific Ocean. On 22 February at 0.00 UTC, its centre was located 280 km east of Faraulep (Yap, Federate States of Micronesia - FSM) and it had maximum sustained winds of 176 km/h.
  • Over the next two days, it is forecast to continue moving north-west, passing 250-350 km south and west of Guam as an intense Typhoon, with maximum sustained winds up to 190-200 km/h. It could then start weakening, moving north over the sea, 400-500 km west of the Northern Mariana Islands. Strong winds, heavy rains and storm surge could still affect Yap and Chuuk  States (FSM) on 22 February, as well as Guam and the Northern Mariana islands on 22-26 February.

  • Tropical Cyclone WUTIP is moving north-west over the North Pacific Ocean, strengthening. On 21 February at 0.00 UTC, its centre was located approximately 200 km south-west of Weno (Chuuk State, Federate States of Micronesia, FSM) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h (typhoon).
  • It is forecast to continue north-west, strengthening as it passes through the islands of western Chuuk and eastern Yap states (FSM) on 21 February and south of Guam on 23 February as an intense typhoon, with maximum sustained winds up to 200 km/h. Strong winds, heavy rains and storm surge could affect these areas.
  • As of 21 February, a typhoon warning remains in effect for Satawal (Yap State) and for Puluwat (Chuuk State), while a tropical storm warning and a Typhoon Wath for Ulul (Chuuk State) and for Faraulep (Yap State).

On 20 February at 0.00 UTC, its centre was located approximately 1 440 km south-east of Guam Island and 1 500 km south-southeast of Saipan Island, with maximum sustained winds of 83 km/h (tropical storm).
  • Over the next 48 hours, it is forecast to continue north-east, strenghtening and could pass south-west of Guam on 23-24 February, with maximum sustained winds up to 194 km/h.
