Le cyclone Giovanna a frappé la cote Est de Madagascar dans la nuit du 13 au 14 février. La localité de Brickaville serait détruite à 70%. A l'instar de Vatomandry où 90% des maisons ont été détruites. Seules les ONG internationales peuvent se rendre sur les lieux, en avion privé, pour apporter leur soutien aux sinistrés.
