Heavy rainfall, strong wind and thunderstorms have been affecting southern Texas in the last few days, causing severe weather-related incidents that have resulted in casualties and damage.
According to media, as of 17 May, four people died in Houston City due to severe weather-related incidents. More than 900,000 homes have been affected by power outages in Harris County, schools are closed in Houston City and several roads have been flooded.
For the next 24 hours, more heavy rainfall is expected over Texas, with very heavy rainfall in the eastern and southern parts of the state.
