عقب اتخاذ قرارات من السعودية والإمارات والبحرين واليمن وليبيا قطع علاقاتها الدبلوماسية مع قطر، اتخذت أعلنت جمهورية المالديف قرارا مماثلا. تعد "المالديف" من أشهر الجزر التي تتميز بمناظرها الطبيعية، ومن أفضل الأماكن التي يتمنى العريس وعروسه الذهاب إليها فترة شهر العسل، ولكن نادرًا ما يعرف أحدّا عنها سوى هذه المعلومات.
