LAHORE: We should expect more and stronger earthquakes as the tectonic plates move to form new mountain ranges in the plains of Punjab and Sindh. This was stated by Punjab University Department of Space Science Professor Dr Syed Amer Mahmood who has been studying tectonic plate movements.

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake has struck near the coast of Taiwan, killing two employees of a hotel that toppled and injuring more than 200 other people. The quake caused widespread damage when it struck about 11.50pm on Tuesday (4.50am Wednesday NZ time) about 21 kilometres northeast of Hualien, a city of 100,000 people on the island's east coast.

CAKARTA (AA) - Endonezya'nın Sumatra Adası'nda bulunan Açe eyaletinde 5,3 büyüklüğünde deprem meydana geldi. Endonezya Meteoroloji, İklim ve Jeofizik Kurumu (BMKG), merkez üssü Batı Açe bölgesinin 26 kilometre kuzeydoğusunda olan depremin 10 kilometre derinlikte meydana geldiğini duyurdu.

Endonezya Meteoroloji, İklim ve Jeofizik Kurumu (BMKG), merkez üssü Batı Açe bölgesinin 26 kilometre kuzeydoğusunda olan depremin 10 kilometre derinlikte meydana geldiğini duyurdu. İlk belirlemelere göre herhangi bir can ya da mal kaybının yaşanmadığı depreme ilişkin BMKG ve Pasifik Tsunami Merkezi de tsunami alarmı vermedi.

Una forte scossa di terremoto, di magnitudo 5.3, è stata registrata questa mattina in Indonesia. L’ epicentro è stato registrato a 51km da Reuleuet, nella costa orientale. Lo riporta l’Istituto geofisico americano ( Usgs ). Per ora non si hanno notizie di un rischio tsunami, né di feriti o danni. Zona soggetta a terremoti: colpita Reuleuet.

La estatua de Felipe III de la Plaza Mayor luce desde hoy un acompañamiento peculiar: una escultura flotante de 44 metros de largo por 35 de ancho y 21 de alto.
