Un sismo de 5.3 grados en la escala de Richter fue reportado esta madrugada por el Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP) en Piura. El epicentro del movimiento fue en el mar a 86 km de la localidad de Sechura con una profundidad de 38 Km. El movimiento se dio a las 3:01 horas y de momento no hay reporte de alguna afectación local.
