DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 500 PM HST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lester was located near latitude 30.8 North, longitude 165.3 West. Lester is moving toward the north-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through tonight with a slight decrease in forward speed. Lester will gradually turn toward the north on Tuesday followed by a turn to the north-northeast Tuesday night and Wednesday with an increase in forward speed. Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
