Discussion and outlook

At 700 PM ChST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Noru was

located near latitude 23.2 degrees north and longitude 141.4 degrees

east, moving south-southwest at 5 mph. Nora is expected to turn

west tonight and slow its forward speed.



Maximum sustained winds increased to 80 mph. Noru is forecast to

strengthen slightly tonight.
