DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 PM ChST...0900 UTC...the eye of Super Typhoon Noru was

located near latitude 23.0 degrees north and longitude 139.6 degrees

east, moving west at 5 mph. Nora is expected to turn northwest over

night.



Maximum sustained winds remain at 150 mph. Noru is forecast to

remain near this strength through tonight, then begin a slow

weakening trend on Tuesday.
