Summary of 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...Information ---------------------------------------------- Location...13.5N 146.1E About 90 miles east of Guam About 75 miles southeast of Rota About 110 miles south-southeast of Tinian About 115 miles south-southeast of Saipan and About 320 miles south of Pagan Maximum sustained winds...25 mph Present movement...west...270 degrees at 18 mph Discussion and outlook ---------------------- At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 20W was located near latitude 13.5 North and longitude 146.1 East. Tropical Depression 20W is moving toward the west at 18 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with a slight decrease in forward speed over the next 24 hours, then remain on this track for the next several days. Maximum sustained winds are 25 mph. Tropical Depression 20W is forecast to intensify slowly through Sunday, then intensify at a faster rate, possibly becoming a tropical storm Sunday afternoon well west of the Marianas.
