WTAU01 ABRF 031250 IDQ20008 SECURITE OCEAN WIND WARNING FOR METAREA 10 Issued by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre at 1250 UTC 3 APRIL 2026 GALE WARNING FOR NORTH EASTERN AREA SITUATION At 1200 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 35 nautical miles of latitude nine decimal five south (9.5S) longitude one hundred and fifty five decimal seven east (155.7E) Recent movement : north northwest at 4 knots Maximum winds : 25 knots Central pressure: 1002 hPa The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 30 to 36 hours. AREA AFFECTED Within 100 nautical miles of the centre. FORECAST Maximum winds to 25 knots near the centre increasing to 40 knots by 1200 UTC 04 April. By 1200 UTC 04 April winds above 34 knots within 100 nautical miles of centre in northern quadrants rough seas and moderate swell.
