SITUATION At 0600 UTC Tropical Low was centred within 25 nautical miles of latitude twelve decimal two south (12.2S) longitude one hundred and four decimal four east (104.4E) Recent movement : west at 6 knots Maximum winds : 35 knots Central pressure: 998 hPa The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 9 to 18 hours. AREA AFFECTED Within 50 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in NW quadrant. FORECAST Maximum winds to 35 knots near the centre increasing to 50 knots by 0600 UTC 22 December. Winds above 48 knots within 30 nautical miles in SW and NW quadrants by 0600 UTC 22 December with very rough seas. Winds above 34 knots within 60 nautical miles in NW quadrant, extending to within 50 nautical miles in the NE quadrant from 1200 UTC 21 December and within 60 nautical miles in the SE and SW quadrant from 1800 UTC 21 December with rough seas and moderate swell.
