A tropical storm warning is now in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian
and Saipan. A tropical storm warning means that tropical storm
force winds of at least 39 mph are expected within 24 hours.

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 400 PM CHST...0600 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 14W
was located near Latitude 11.6 degrees North and Longitude 145.7 
degrees East. 14W is moving west-northwest at about 13 mph. It is 
expected to make a turn toward the northwest with a slight increase 
in forward speed through Wednesday. This current forecast track sends
14W over or near Guam Wednesday morning. 

Maximum sustained winds are 30 mph. 14W is forecast to intensify 
through tonight and is expected to become a tropical storm overnight.
Once to the northwest of Guam, 14W is expected to continue
intensifying over the Philippine Sea.
