SUMMARY OF 1000 PM CHST...1200 UTC...INFORMATION ----------------------------------------------- Location...12.8N 145.4E About 60 miles southeast of Guam About 95 miles south of Rota About 150 miles south of Tinian About 160 miles south of Saipan Maximum sustained winds...35 mph Present movement...northwest...312 degrees at 21 mph DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1000 PM CHST...1200 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 14W was located by PGUA radar near Latitude 12.8 degrees North and Longitude 145.4 degrees East. 14W is moving northwest at 21 mph. It is expected to maintain this general course and speed through Wednesday. This current forecast track sends 14W over or near Guam over the next few hours. Maximum sustained winds remain at 35 mph. 14W is forecast to intensify through tonight and is expected to become a tropical storm overnight. Once to the northwest of Guam, 14W is expected to continue intensifying over the Philippine Sea.
