DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Kalmaegi
was located near Latitude 11.3 degrees North and Longitude
131.1 degrees East. Kalmaegi is moving west at 17 mph. It is
expected to maintain this general course and forward speed through 
Tuesday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 65 mph. Kalmaegi is
forecast to intensify through Tuesday, likely becoming a typhoon as
it exits west of Guam's Area of Responsibility.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
105 miles.
