DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression Penha
was located near Latitude 8.6 degrees North and Longitude 131.0
degrees East. Penha is moving west at 13 mph. It is expected to
maintain this general course and speed through Friday. This forecast
track will take Penha out of Micronesia later today then into the
Philippine Sea.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 35 mph. Penha is forecast to
intensify through tonight, likely becoming a tropical storm. Penha is
then expected to start weakening.
