DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 04W
was located near Latitude 8.7 degrees North and Longitude
152.0 degrees East. 04W is moving west at 5 mph. It is expected
to gradually turn toward the northwest with a decrease in forward
speed over the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are 30 mph. 04W is forecast to intensify
over the next few days, possibly becoming a tropical storm 
Friday afternoon.
