WATCHES AND WARNINGS
-------------------- 
A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect  For Chuuk, Fananu, 
Ulul and Polowat in Chuuk State. A Tropical  Storm Warning 
means that tropical storm conditions, including damaging winds 
of 39 to 73 mph, are occurring.

A Typhoon Watch remains in effect for Ulul in Chuuk State. A 
Typhoon Watch means that typhoon conditions, including winds of 
74 mph or greater, are possible within 48 hours. 

Residents of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan should carefully
monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Sinlaku (04W).

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 500 AM CHST...1900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Sinlaku
was located near Latitude 8.0 degrees North and Longitude
151.0 degrees East. Sinlaku is moving southwest at 0 mph. It is
expected to make a turn toward the north-northwest with an
increase in forward speed through Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 65 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to
intensify through tonight possibly becoming a typhoon.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
140 miles.

The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National
Weather Service at 800 AM ChST early Sunday morning followed by
an intermediate advisory at1100 AM ChST.
