CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY -------------------------- The Typhoon Warning has been cancelled for coastal waters and the island of Rota. WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- A Typhoon Warning is no longer in effect for the island and the coastal waters of Rota. A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Tinian, Saipan, Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan in the CNMI and the adjacent coastal waters. SUMMARY OF 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...INFORMATION ----------------------------------------------- Location...18.7N 144.9E About 50 miles west of Agrihan About 70 miles northwest of Pagan About 95 miles northwest of Alamagan About 255 miles north-northwest of Saipan About 260 miles north of Tinian About 315 miles north of Rota About 360 miles north of Guam Maximum sustained winds...105 mph Present movement...north-northeast...20 degrees at 9 mph DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku was located near Latitude 18.7 degrees North and Longitude 144.9 degrees East. Sinlaku is moving north-northeast at 9 mph. It is expected to maintain this general course and speed through Saturday. Typhoon Sinlaku continues to move through the northern CNMI just west of Agrihan, turning more to the northeast as it passes north of Agrihan this afternoon. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 105 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to weaken through Saturday. Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 90 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 290 miles to the northeast and up to 255 miles elsewhere.
