A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Agrihan in the CNMI and the adjacent coastal waters. SUMMARY OF 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...INFORMATION ----------------------------------------------- Location...21.2N 146.4E About 175 miles north-northeast of Agrihan About 215 miles north of Pagan About 250 miles north of Alamagan About 420 miles north of Saipan About 430 miles north of Tinian About 490 miles north of Rota About 545 miles north of Guam Maximum sustained winds...90 mph Present movement...north-northeast...25 degrees at 10 mph DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku was located near Latitude 21.2 degrees North and Longitude 146.4 degrees East. Sinlaku is moving north-northeast at 10 mph. It is expected to maintain this general course with a slight increase in forward speed through Sunday. Tropical storm force winds have shifted north of Alamagan and Pagan, but remain over Agrihan. Tropical storm conditions look to persist over Agrihan through at least 6 AM this morning. Maximum sustained winds remain at 90 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to weaken through Sunday. Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 80 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 270 miles to the northeast and northwest, and up to 235 miles elsewhere.
