DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 1100 AM CHST...0100 UTC...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku was 
located near Latitude 22.3 degrees North and Longitude 146.4 
degrees East. Sinlaku is moving northeast at 7 mph. It is expected
to maintain this general course with an increase in forward speed
through Sunday. Sinlaku has continued to weaken and move away from
the far northern Marianas, and sustained tropical storm force 
winds have ended at Agrihan. Tropical storm force gusts will
remain possible near any showers at Agrihan through this evening.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 80 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to
weaken through tonight.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to
70 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the
center up to 270 miles.

The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National 
Weather Service at 200 PM ChST this afternoon followed by an 
intermediate advisory at 500 PM ChST.
