DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Hagupit
was located near Latitude 9.6 degrees North and Longitude
135.4 degrees East. Hagupit has turned to the north-northwest,
moving at 9 mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the west-
northwest with little change in forward speed through Sunday, as
continues to moves away from Yap and Palau.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 40 mph. Hagupit is forecast to 
maintain this intensity through Sunday, remaining a weak tropical 
storm.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
110 miles to the northeast.
