DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Kong-rey was
located near Latitude 16.7 degrees North and Longitude 134.0 degrees
East. Kong-rey is moving west at 14 mph. It is expected to maintain
this general course with a decrease in forward speed through Monday.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 40 mph. Kong-rey is forecast to
intensify through Wednesday, possibly becoming a typhoon Tuesday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
315 miles to the north and west, and 140 miles to the southeast.
