A tropical storm warning is in effect for Guam and Rota. A
tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions
including winds of 39 mph or greater are expected within
24 hours. 

A tropical storm watch remains in effect for Tinian and Saipan. A
tropical storm watch means that tropical storm conditions 
including winds of 39 mph or greater are possible as early
as late tonight or Wednesday.

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 1000 AM CHST...0000 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Man-yi
was located near Latitude 14.0 degrees North and Longitude
149.2 degrees East. Man-yi is moving west-southwest at 8 mph. It
is expected to make a slight turn toward the west with an
increase in forward speed through Wednesday, and is anticipated to
pass near Guam Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday night.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 45 mph. Man-yi is forecast to
intensify through Wednesday, passing near Guam as a strong tropical
storm.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
70 miles.
