WATCHES AND WARNINGS

A tropical storm warning is in effect for Guam and Rota. A
tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions
including winds of 39 mph or greater are expected within
24 hours.   

A tropical storm watch remains in effect for Tinian
and Saipan. A tropical storm watch means that tropical storm
conditions including winds of 39 mph or greater are possible as
early as late tonight or Wednesday.

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Man-yi
was located near Latitude 14.1 degrees North and Longitude
148.7 degrees East. Man-yi is moving west at 18 mph. It is
expected to maintain this general course with a slight decrease in
forward speed through Wednesday, making a pass near Guam Wednesday
afternoon through Wednesday night.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 45 mph. Man-yi is forecast to
intensify through Wednesday, passing near Guam as a strong tropical
storm.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
70 miles.

Service at 500 PM ChST followed by the next scheduled advisory at
800 PM ChST.
