DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Man-yi
was located near Latitude 10.5 degrees North and Longitude
132.9 degrees East. Man-yi is moving west at 16 mph. It is
expected to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with
little change in forward speed through Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 70 mph. Man-yi is
forecast to intensify through tonight possibly becoming a
typhoon.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
90 miles.
