DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Podul
was located near Latitude 21.7 degrees North and Longitude
141.4 degrees East. Podul is moving west-northwest at 10 mph, away
from the Marianas. It is expected to make a slight turn toward 
the west with a slight increase in forward speed through Sunday,
continuing through the Philippine Sea.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 60 mph. Podul is forecast to
intensify, possibly becoming a typhoon Sunday night or Monday
morning.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
75 miles.
