None. .AREAS AFFECTED... This local statement provides information and recommended actions for people in the far Northern Marianas. .WATCHES/WARNINGS... A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Agrihan, Pagan, and Alamagan. A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions, including winds of 39 to 73 mph, are imminent or occurring. .STORM INFORMATION... At 7 AM ChST...the center of Tropical Storm Krosa (12W) was located near latitude 19.8N...longitude 144.8E, about 90 miles northwest of Agrihan and 330 miles north of Saipan. Storm motion was north at 9 mph. Maximum sustained winds increased to 65 mph. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... Tropical Storm Krosa is expected to continue moving toward the north with an increase in forward speed through Monday, remaining near enough to the far northern CNMI to maintain tropical storm force winds at Alamagan into this afternoon, at Pagan into mid-afternoon and at Agrihan into early evening. Tropical storm force winds are already occurring. .PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain in suitable shelter, such as a hardened structure or cave, well-protected from tropical storm wind exposure. Do not leave shelter until instructed to do so by emergency management officials. Strong monsoon winds will likely persist after the passage of Tropical Storm Krosa. && .NEXT UPDATE... The next local statement will be issued at 3 PM ChST, or sooner if conditions warrant. ...AGRIHAN AND PAGAN... ...A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT... .PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... The latest forecast track shows Krosa moving generally northward, passing just to the east of Farallon de Pajaros this afternoon, then turning towards the northwest Monday. Latest forecast projections show southerly tropical storm winds of 50 to 60 mph are occurring at Agrihan. These winds will begin to subside later this morning. Pagan has likely already seen their highest winds. As the winds gradually subside, they will turn southwest. Widespread locally heavy showers and thunderstorms will still bring frequent stronger gusts. After TS Krosa departs the area, a strong southwest monsoon pattern will prolong windy conditions through Monday. .COASTAL INUNDATION AND SURF INFORMATION... Dangerous surf along south and west facing reefs is likely peaking right now at Agrihan, with surf heights expected to be between 15 and 20 ft. Surf is already subsiding at Pagan and will begin to subside later today at Agrihan, possibly falling below dangerous levels by tonight. Surf along south and west facing reefs will likely remain at hazardous levels of 10 to 14 feet into Monday. Rip currents during this time will be strong and life threatening. Stay out of the water.
