The Tropical Storm Watch for Yap and Ulithi has been cancelled. .AREAS AFFECTED... This local statement provides information and recommended action for people on Yap and Ulithi in Yap State. .WATCHES/WARNINGS... Effective 1:30 PM ChST, the Tropical Storm Watch for Yap and Ulithi has been cancelled. Tropical Storm conditions are no longer expected. .STORM INFORMATION... At 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression Nuri was located near Latitude 10.3 degrees North and Longitude 138.4 degrees East. Nuri is moving southeast at 5 mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the east-northeast with a slight increase in forward speed through Friday. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 30 mph. Nuri is forecast to maintain this intensity through tonight, then weaken by Friday morning. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... The Tropical Storm Watch has been cancelled. 03W remains a tropical depression with 30 mph wind. The current forecast track has 03W eventually turning east-northeast later today, weakening below tropical depression strength northeast of Yap by Friday morning. Intensification is no longer expected. .PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
