NONE. .AREAS AFFECTED... This local statement provides information and recommended actions for people on Chuuk, Fananu, and Ulul in Chuuk State. .WATCHES/WARNINGS... A Typhoon Watch remains in effect for Ulul in Chuuk State. A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Chuuk, Fananu, Ulul, and Polowat in Chuuk State. A Typhoon Watch means that typhoon conditions are possible within the next 48 hours. A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions, including damaging winds of 39 to 73 mph, are expected within the next 24 hours or are ongoing. .STORM INFORMATION... At 1 AM ChST, the center of Tropical Storm Sinlaku (04W) was located near Latitude 8.2N, Longitude 150.9E. This is about 70 miles northwest of Chuuk, 85 miles west-southwest of Fananu, and 100 miles east-southeast of Ulul, and 160 miles east-northeast of Polowat. Storm motion was nearly stationary. Storm intensity was 65 mph. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... When making decisions, do not focus on the exact forecast track. Tropical Storm Sinlaku (04W) is moving nearly stationary northwest of Chuuk. The tropical storm is forecast to become a typhoon later today.
