Due to higher astronomical tides and pre-existing elevated seas due to non-TC features in the area, hazardous surf is likely to become dangerous across all reefs in the Marianas, with coastal inundation becoming likely as early as Monday morning. Inland flooding made worse by developing rainbands during storm passage will significantly increase coastal inundation as rain run-off and storm surge interact. Heavy, intense rainfall brought by Sinlaku is likely for much of the week, with rainfall amounts upwards of 15 to 20 inches near the center, as the system crosses the Marianas. As such, a Flood Watch remains in effect for Guam and the Northern Marianas, which includes Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. See latest forecast for latest information.
