A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan in the CNMI. .STORM INFORMATION... At 1 PM ChST...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku (04W) was located near latitude 19.8N, longitude 145.6E. This was about 440 miles north of Guam, 325 miles north of Saipan, 330 miles north of Tinian, 75 miles north of Agrihan. Storm motion was northeast, 35 degrees, at 7 mph. Storm intensity was 90 mph. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... Typhoon Sinlaku is moving northeast at 7 mph through the far northern Mariana Islands, passing north of Agrihan and just northeast of Asuncion. It is expected to make a turn toward the northeast with an increase in forward speed over the next couple of days. As Sinlaku continues to push north-northeastward, Agrihan continues to be under typhoon force conditions through this afternoon or evening, then tropical storm force conditions through Saturday morning.
