This local statement provides information and recommended action for people on Agrihan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas. .WATCHES/WARNINGS... The Typhoon Warning for Agrihan in the CNMI is cancelled. .STORM INFORMATION... At 1100 AM CHST...0100 UTC...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku was located near Latitude 22.3 degrees North and Longitude 146.4 degrees East. Sinlaku is moving northeast at 7 mph. It is expected to maintain this general course with an increase in forward speed through Sunday. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... Sinlaku has continued to weaken and move away from the far northern Marianas, and sustained tropical storm force winds have ended at Agrihan, so the Typhoon Warning for Agrihan has been cancelled. Tropical storm force gusts will remain possible near any showers at Agrihan through this evening. .PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Residents should stay aware of the latest weather conditions and hazards by following local media or visiting the NWS Guam webpage at weather.gov/gum. .NEXT UPDATE... Damaging winds are no longer expected, however, occasional tropical storm force gusts up to 45 mph are still possible near any showers through the evening. .WIND INFORMATION... Winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph are expected to continue through this evening. Winds will continue to decrease as Sinlaku moves farther northeast. .COASTAL INUNDATION AND SURF INFORMATION... Seas of 11 to 17 feet will be possible, with dangerous surf, significant coastal inundation and beach erosion. Inundation of 2 to 4 feet is possible, especially along south, west, and north facing shorelines. .OTHER STORM EFFECTS...
