None. .AREAS AFFECTED... This local statement provides information and recommended action for people on Yap, Ngulu, Ulithi, and Fais in Yap State. .WATCHES/WARNINGS... A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Ngulu, Ulithi, Fais in Yap State, Yap Proper and adjacent coastal waters. A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions, including winds of 39 to 73 mph, are expected within 24 hours. .STORM INFORMATION... At 700 AM CHST, the center of Tropical Storm Hagupit was located near Latitude 8.2 degrees North and Longitude 140.8 degrees East. Hagupit is moving west-northwest at 9 mph. It is expected to maintain this general course with a slight increase in forward speed through Saturday. Maximum sustained winds remain at 40 mph. Hagupit is forecast to intensify slightly tonight, then remain a tropical storm the next few days. Hagupit is still expected to reach peak intensity on Saturday and continues to be less likely to become a strong tropical storm at this time. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 105 miles to the northeast, and up to 90 miles to the southwest, as based on most recent TC analysis. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... Hagupit remains a minimal Tropical Storm west of Woleai this morning. TS Hagupit continues to move west-northwest, as it approaches Ulithi, Yap Proper and Ngulu. Hagupit looks to maintain this west-northwest trek over the next few days, remaining at its current intensity through this afternoon before gradually intensifying this evening. Hagupit is expected to remain a tropical storm through Monday, reaching peak intensity tonight or Saturday as it passes between Yap and Ngulu. However, a recent burst in convection near the center may aid in further intensification the rest of today. As TS Hagupit continues its west-northwest trek through western Yap State, the wind field looks to expand slightly northward and southeastward, with Fais and Ulithi still expected to see TS winds beginning later this morning at Fais, and this afternoon for Ulithi. As such, the Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for these locations. Tropical Storm force winds continue to be expected for Ngulu and Yap late this afternoon, so Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect. .PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
