      <title>Malawi - Flood - UPDATE</title>

		&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;The number of deaths in Malawi due to the recent floods is still rising. As of 21 January, 62 people were reported killed and another 153 were missing. Many areas are still isolated and search and rescue are on-going. As of 22 January, 638 000 people have been affected and 173 700 have been people displaced. &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Southern Malawi has been especially affected by floods, with extensive damaged to houses and infrastructures reported in the most affected districts of Phalombe, Chikwawa and Nsanje.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the next 24 h more rain is forecast in Central and Northern areas of Malawi, less in Southern Malawi. Risk of flooding is still high. &lt;/li&gt;

      <title>Malawi - Flood - UPDATE</title>

		&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;The recent floods in Malawi affected 638 000 people (estimation) in 15 districts and killed at least 79 people, while 153 were still missing (as of 27 January, UN).&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;The districts most affected are: Nsanje, Chikwawa, and Phalombe (southern Malawi), with over 170 000 displaced. As of 27 January (DoDMA, UN), preliminary reports show extensive damage to houses and infrastructure. The same source reported 74 388 displaced and 24 displacement sites established in Nsanje district, approx. 53 350 displaced and hosted in 18 displacement sites in Chikwawa district, and 51 700 displaced with 62 displacement sites in Phalombe (as of 21 January).&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the next 24 hours, more heavy rains may still affected several areas of Malawi, including the already flood-affected areas.&lt;/li&gt;
