In Yirol East, a rural county in South Sudan, living conditions are hard. The climate in the area is unforgiving with long droughts and extreme flooding, making growing food almost impossible.

Norway Contributes NOK 8 Million to Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund: OCHA

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) announced that Norway has contributed 8 million Norwegian Krone to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund. Norway’s pledge of NOK 8 million to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund was welcomed by the UN OCHA in a tweet on Tuesday, November 8.
