Event. A magnitude-5.6 earthquake occurred west of Fiji at around 17:53 Nov. 24. The epicenter was about 247 km (153 miles) west-northwest of Lautoka. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 10 km (6 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout the western Western Division.
