On 26 June, a larger forest fire broke out in the rural area of La Torre de l'Espanyol, Tarragona Province (south-eastern Catalonia region). As of 29 June, the affected area is approximately 6,000 hectares. The fire has also affected the neighbouring villages of Flix, La Palma d'Ebre, Vinebre and Maials (Lleida province).
