Draft early warning survey for your review

Dear colleagues, Attached please find a draft report of the Global Survey of Early Warning Systems for you review. Please provide proposed corrections and additions in specific language, preferably in the “track-changes” function of WORD. The report will be presented and discussed at the Third International Conference on Early Warning, Bonn, 27-29 March 2006. This means a tight schedule for revision and reproduction. In order to incorporate your comments we request you to submit them as soon as possible, preferably by the end of February, and no later than 3 March 2006. We will integrate a glossary and an executive summary, in addition to your recommendations on improvements. Given the policy nature of this report, shortening is desirable, and when you propose additions please also consider compensating deletions/abbreviations, in your field of interest and elsewhere. At the UNDP regional office in Bratislava I'm enrolled as an external expert, and have taken contract jobs there, such as the WaterWiki [http://europeandcis.undp.org/WaterWiki/index.php/Main_Page]. I don't know what the possibilities are at the JRC (it seems tricky, not easy at the UNDP either) but who knows -- appreciate you keeping it in mind.
