KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 (Bernama) -- A moderate earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale struck Irian Jaya, Indonesia at 9.55 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department. The epicentre of the quake was 1,951 km Southeast Semporna, Sabah. The department said the quake did not pose any tsunami threat.

طوكيو رويترز- قال مسؤولون وشهود إن زلزالا بلغت قوته خمس درجات وقع شرق اليابان الأحد وهز المباني في طوكيو ولكن لم يكن هناك خطر من حدوث موجات مد عملاقة ولم ترد أنباء فورية عن وقوع إصابات أو أضرار جسيمة. وقالت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية إن مركز الزلزال كان على بعد 44 كيلومترا شمال شرقي طوكيو على عمق نحو 44 كيلومترا.

В Японии утром в воскресенье произошло землетрясение магнитудой 5,0. Угрозы цунами не было, однако специалисты приостановили работу одной из АЭС около Токио для проверки. Подземные толчки были зафиксированы в 13:24 по местному времени (07:24 мск). Очаг землетрясения залегал на глубине 40 километров под землей в префектуре Ибараки.

(ANSA) - TOKYO, 17 LUG - Un terremoto di magnitudo 5 si è verificato nella regione di Tokyo, ma non ci sono notizie di feriti o di danni. Lo riporto il Centro meteorologico giapponese precisando che non c'è nessuna allerta tsunami. L'epicentro del sisma è a 40 chilometri di profondità a Ibaraki, nord della capitale giapponese.
