Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysia, June 2020Disaster authorities in Sabah state, Malaysia, reported heavy rain and flooding in several districts from 27 June. As of 29 June over 1,00 people had evacuated, including in Tenom district, where 634 people relocated. Evacuations were also carried out in Kota Belud (323 people evacuated), Papar (62), Beaufort (49) and Penampang (19). Meanwhile in Sarawak state, local media reported around 1,000 people were isolated in Baram district in the north of the state after flooding on 30 June cut all links to the outside world.
